• Being a small home improvement remodeling contractor, I will in turn use small “sub contactors” for facets of the job that require licensed contractors or specialty contractors. One advantage to being a small vs. mass building contractor, we have the ability to specialize to the client’s needs and wants. Projects typically will move at a more comfortable pace for the homeowner to visualize each step of the project and foresee the next step. Another advantage to being a small contractor, I am hands on with every step of the project. The sub contractors I use do not need “babysat” during any phase of the job. They all know what is expected as for respecting the premises and as to what their job is for the particular project.
• Prior to constructing a 3-4 season room, room addition, garage addition, free standing garage or pole building, or front porch addition, Stellar Construction submits plans / drawings to the local building department for approval and or building code changes to update the drawings to bring the project up to code if any are necessary.
• Low Maintenance & Maintenance Free is what most all homeowners are requesting in the finished product in today’s home improvement project more than ever. Using Azek exterior trim and James Hardie or Certainteed Fiberboard siding product offers a uniqueness that the house next door doesn’t have! These products can be painted before or after installation at the factory or job site, and not have to be repainted for 25 years! These products allow a homeowner to change the overall appearance of their home without changing the actual product. Along with the previous fore mentioned exterior products, if a vinyl siding is what a client prefers; Stellar Construction prefers Alside vinyl siding products. Alside has a wide variety of product lines and colors in siding and soffit.
• When a homeowner selects Stellar Construction for a finished basement remodeling project, the home owner has several options they can select based on their budget and their visions based on their expectations. Because we use 2 x4 studded walls, this will allow the electrical work to be installed with more ease. In these 2 x 4 wall spaces, a homeowner can elect to have insulation added to help with acoustics but also with room temperatures. Insulation can also be added in the above floor space for a sound barrier from the top floor down, and also the finished basement up. This is just one of many options that are available.
• I will be up front and honest; any time a client takes on a project of this or any size, they have to anticipate that construction crews will be in their life for the duration of the project. To help alleviate this atmosphere, at the end of the day, as supported in the testimonials, the job site is cleaned; lumber is stacked or re stacked and covered to help eliminate the intrusion of a construction site on the homeowner when they return from their own day of work. But, it also helps start the next day with a clean start!
